We Need some Additional Greeters…
As is the case at many churches, Promise is planning and working toward returning to some level of normality in our worship experience. Part of that normality is the welcoming greeting we experience when we arrive at Promise for worship. The greeter is the first face people see when they walk into Promise. Greeting our members and guests is important to our ministry.
For this to happen, 16 greeter teams are needed each month, four teams on each of the four Sundays. In months with a fifth Sunday, 20 greeter teams are needed. Because we have lost several greeters for various reasons, some new greeters are needed. Currently we have vacancies to be filled every 3rd, 4th and 5th Sunday of the month.
Greeters typically commit to the same particular service on a given Sunday each month. For example: the same greeter team is assigned to the 1st service on the 1st Sunday of every month. Another greeter team is assigned to the 2nd service on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Additionally, we need greeters who can sub should the regularly assigned greeters be unable to serve on their scheduled timeslot, and greeters are needed for special services, Holy Week, Christmas, etc.
Greeters are needed each month for the following services on each of these Sundays.
2nd Sunday – 10:30 service (1 team)
3rd Sunday – 10:30 service (2 teams)
Anyone willing to serve as a greeter or a sub, and would like to know more about what the commitment entails, can reach me at 260-433-4240. Please call and I can explain what is needed on any of the Sundays mentioned.
Thank you all for giving prayerful consideration to serving as a greeter. I look forward to hearing from some of you. Until then…
Peace and blessings to one and all… Ed
